Public Missions
Bring
your family and friends to the Challenger Learning Center to participate
in a simulated space mission. After a brief training session, astronauts
will be launched into space to complete their mission. Crew members
on board a spacecraft will work with teammates in Mission Control
to navigate the spacecraft, collect and analyze data using real
robotic arms and glove boxes, build and launch a probe, and more.
Most of our public missions are geared
towards people ages 11 and up. However, we also offer our “Jr Astronauts”
mission that is specially for kids ages 6 and up.
Advanced reservations are required
to participate in a public mission.*(NOTE:
public missions are subject to cancellation if there are fewer than
14 people signed up. Participants will be notified of any cancellation.)
