| In our 2011 session of Advanced Astronaut Training Camp, students entering into 4th-8th grades experienced what is it like to be a NASA astronaut training to travel up in space. Advanced astronauts participated in several mental and physical challenges related to rocket design, space life, and general study of physics. They also learned basic SCUBA diving skills to participate in a one-day underwater astronaut training program based off the underwater training that NASA uses to prepare its astronauts for working in the conditions of space. |
